Reality check: 38,028,000 women are victims of domestic violence in the USA, and the number increases daily.

Which is why we’re so proud to wear our hearts on our sleeve as we support Domestic Violence Awareness Month for the entire month of October.

In case you haven’t heard my story, I was one of those victims now over 9 years ago. 🙏

And my story is not isolated. I was lucky to escape a life of violence and control, learning after the fact that such a large part of why and how I was able to escape relatively seamlessly was because I had access to money — an important key to freedom that for so many in my situation, requires them to choose between safety and a roof over their head.

This is why I’ve built my company, hiring only women and working primarily with women clients… because putting more money in the hands of more women can literally be live saving.

And it’s also why I’m a committed supporter of FreeFrom, a national organization whose mission is to dismantle the nexus between intimate partner violence and financial insecurity.

For the month of October, we will be donating 10% of all agency profits to FreeFrom. This year our goal is to raise $10,000. 

I can’t think of a more fitting way to celebrate where I’ve come from and where I’m at now, than to support an organization that is tackling this important work.

We can give the gift of freedom, and we can make a difference now.

The money we raise this month, will go directly to FreeFrom’s Safety Fund for Survivors.
